TORONTO, CANADA - WIL is the force behind a unique electro-acoustic songwriting style, which is showcased on his major label debut, "Both Hands."

Set to be released on March 16th on EMI/Capitol Records, the 11-track album of original songs are rich in piano and cello flourishes, which contrast against Wil's strong guitar playing and vocals.

Tim Trombley, Vice President Of Talent Acquisition And Artist Development at EMI Music Canada, notes:

"Both Hands" has already taken a successful spin around the Canadian musical community, and has made an impressive impact on the masses.

In May 2002, Wil released "Both Hands" independently, and it has gone on to sell over 5000 copies since.

Just prior to releasing the record, Wil teamed up with drummer Michael Bressanutti for their first performance together at the Whiskey in Calgary, where they were immediately embraced by the 1000+ crowd. 500 CD's were sold that night alone.

Wil's live performance style is described as 'frenetic' and 'magnetic.' Some of the dedicated reactions Wil elicits from his audiences are perhaps the most accurate barometer to convey what he is truly about:

"Wil came out into the centre of the room, guitar strapped around his neck and he stood in front of this old chrome microphone. Without a word, he began to belt out this song that just kicked me in the teeth and knocked me back in my chair."

"When he finished playing and cheers from the room finally died down, he stepped up to the mic and said, 'I always like to play that song just to get myself warmed up. What do you say we start the show now?'"

The first single and video from Both Hands is the album opener, a track with an insistent, driving beat entitled 'Mama.' Canadian tour dates are currently being planned, and will be announced shortly.
