FUCK...I'M DEAD/ENGORGED: Split CD
(No Escape NE 008) |
The first 8 songs on this split CD are performed by Melbourne (Australia) trio FUCK...I'M DEAD.With 7 of the 8 tracks clocking in at less than 1:30 each, the band is sticking to the tried-and-true, short-song formula used on their full-length CD, "Bring On The Dead," which was released at the end of 2001.
To put it simply, this is one band that does not fuck around.
At first glimpse -- judging by the first 3 song titles ("Horrendous Bowel Evacuation," "Anal Abattoir," "Enemosity") -- you might think these guys have an unhealthy obsession with the human sphincter and all it's glorious functions.
But that's nothing new with gore/grind bands -- consider some of the unique titles featured on FUCK...I'M DEAD's "Bring On The Dead" CD ("Colon Commando," "Slowly Raped With A Chainsaw," "Spray Me With Fecal Matter").
Whatever way you slice it, this is non-stop, in-your-face grind-gore that grabs you by the throat and never lets go for a second.
Like a continual battering-ram to the gut, each song is performed by FUCK...I'M DEAD with a machine-like, industrial quality.
This is definitely NOT fodder for the faint-hearted: This is hell-fueled murder music to kill your friends by!

On the other hand, the last 5 songs on this CD are performed by the exceptional U.S. band ENGORGED (Portland, OR), who made their original debut on Razorback Records in 1997 with their "Death Metal Attack" demo, followed up by the highly promising "Death Metal Attack 2" album in 1999.
Just as they did then, ENGORGED do not disappoint on this CD.
Showcasing skilled instrumental performances by all the band members, these songs are insanely technical chunks of sound that take the listener on a non-stop deathride through The House Of Horrors.
Sizzling, hyper-blast paranoise - with all the ingredients of a white-knuckle rollercoaster ride you never want to get off.
Like all other great bands of this genre, ENGORGED play dizzying, highly unpredictable music that refuses to let the listener in on where it's going until they get there.
Raw Death/Black vocals add even more effect to an already-frightening dose of music. Like their official website says: "If You're Not Scared...You're Already DEAD!"
